Dear Pastors and Fellow Believers:
Recently, a large number of Christians in northeast Louisiana have become
concerned about moral and social issues affecting our society. In order to be
more effectively involved in these matters, we formed an organization called
Guardians of Decency, formerly known as Concerned Citizens with Jesus Christ on
Moral and Social Issues. To be successful in our efforts, we need the
participation of every Bible-believing church in our area.
A primary purpose of Guardians of Decency is to establish complete and ongoing
communication among the churches involved. This will be accomplished by setting
up a computer database of all participating churches. While some churches may
not have computers, most have a member who does and who will be willing to be
the contact person.
In this way, we will always be organized and ready to stand up for Jesus Christ
in unity. In the future, we hope to be on the front line on moral and social
issues such as pornography, gambling, abortion, local and state legislation, and
other issues that conflict with God’s Word.
We would like for each church to prayerfully choose someone other than the
pastor (who has so many other responsibilities) to be a liaison between our
organization and his or her church. Please provide us with the name, address,
phone number and email address of your contact person(s). Details are on the
back of this letter.
In order to increase awareness of Guardians of Decency, we will make ourselves
available to speak to your congregation or any interested group. You may contact
